Football Betting News: Rodgers Wants To Sign Gerrard Anew

FOOTBALL BETTING NEWS – Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said that he and the club wish to sign captain and midfielder Steven Gerrard to a new contract, citing the player’s important contributions to the club.

Gerrard served as Liverpool captain in 2003, leading his side to win the Champions League in 2004-05. He appeared in all 18 matches of Liverpool under Rodgers this season and has shown no sign of decline by scoring one goal each against Fulham and Aston Villa.

Rodgers believes that Gerrard has “still got so much left”, adding that the player has a genuine desire to achieve successful feats. The player was able to leave a footpr1nt for Liverpool since he joined in 1998, with former teammate Neil Mellor saying that it impossible for him to leave.

Evra is not planning to leave a footpr1nt for departure soon as he plans to stay throughout the entirely of his contract, which lasts until 2014. United’s policy of providing a one-year contract extension to players over 30 casted doubts on his future.
