Goalkeeper happy to act as back-up for Hart
Scott Carson has told Fabio Capello he will never turn his back on England, despite being behind Joe Hart in the international pecking order.
The Three Lions boss has seen his options depleted in recent months with Paul Robinson and Ben Foster ruling themselves out to concentrate on club action.
With Hart established firmly as England's No.1 and now regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in world football, Carson knows he is always likely to be selected as back-up.
But the former Liverpool and West Brom shot-stopper is happy to accept his place as a squad player and wait patiently for another opportunity to shine.
"I've got no doubts that Joe Hart is England's No.1 - he's a great keeper and I have a lot of time for him," he told the Daily Star Sunday.
"I just want to keep getting in the squad and being around the England camp. If you do that then you just never know - you might get the chance again." - http://www1.skysports.com/
